This January during Alzheimer Awareness Month, the Alzheimer Society of Canada is launching a nation-wide campaign called See me, not my disease. Let’s talk about dementia.
The goal of the campaign is to address myths and stereotypes about the disease. We want to shift attitudes and make it easier to talk more openly and honestly about dementia.
Stereotypes prevent people with dementia from getting help and stop others from taking it seriously.
