The Alzheimer Society is dedicated to helping individuals who are affected by Alzheimer`s disease. We place a great deal of emphasis on providing support to individuals, caregivers and families in Newfoundland and Labrador. We take pride in educating and expanding public awareness. Due to the ever increasing number of individuals who are dealing with the disease, the Alzheimer’s team is continuously growing in strength in order to provide continued community support.

Our Board of Directors, volunteers and staff bring valuable knowledge and skills to our team. They bring a deeper insight into the world of long-term care facilities, government relations, business and financing and clinical practices. Without their dedication and great understanding of Alzheimer`s disease we would not be as successful as we are today.

Although we have been fortunate enough to experience great advancements and success we have not arrived at this point without facing a variety of challenges. To date we have been successful at maintaining accessibility of services to those in need, expansion of our network of volunteers and partners, nurturing a productive partnership with government decision-makers, and developing of a stable and predictable revenue stream.

The Alzheimer Society values its generous donors. We receive numerous donations throughout the year. We believe your donations, planned gifts and memorial gifts will have a long standing impact on the lives of those affected by Alzheimer`s disease.

We would also like to acknowledge those individuals, families and caregivers who are living with Alzheimer`s disease. It is through these individuals that we gain more insight into the disease. Their story needs to be shared with us, in order for us to grow as a Society. With this said, the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador promises to continue working to provide Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow.
